Dave’s family has a cabin on a lake in Ontario, Canada. Dave has spent a week there almost every year since he was born. It’s a special place for us for many reasons and we always enjoy the valuable time spent with family. I grew up in Michigan around lakes and water, so naturally, one of my favorite parts of our time at the cabin are the sunset boat rides we take after dinner. I love Washington, DC, but these photos are making miss the northern landscape. 
Adelaide really loves the boat. 
As I am writing this blog post I looked down and noticed I am wearing the same sweatshirt and pants. Haha. Good for summer boat rides and crisp fall days!
It’s also my father in law’s birthday today. He wasn’t on this particular boating trip when I took photos, but I wanted to share his unique view of the lake. I absolutely love having artists in the family. Happy Birthday!!
