Dave got me a great little blue Holga last Christmas and I have had a lot of fun figuring it out. For those of you who don’t know what a Holga is, it’s a plastic film camera that creates images with strange light flares, soft focus, and lots of vignettes. Though I admit I have been a bit frustrated with the little camera at times, I have enjoyed the freedom of having almost no control. It is easy to get caught up thinking about all of your settings when shooting and occasionally I enjoy just shooting to shoot. Here are a few imperfect images from our first roll of film with the Holga.
