In Spring 2013, Erica and I were contributors to the Bittersweet Zine on the topic of Teen Pregnancy. We had the privilege of highlighting a few organizations for the Zine who are working with vulnerable children and making strides toward breaking cycles and addressing needs.
One organization, The DC Promise Neighborhood Initiative (DCPNI) asked if we could make a commemorative video for an elementary school closing down in the community of Kenilworth. This video was given to the students, faculty and parents at the end of the school year. It is sad to see this chapter of the school come to an end, but its legacy will live on in the hearts of Kenilworth’s community members. It was a real honor working with the crew at Kenilworth Elementary school. Enjoy.
