It seems that with the start of September, everyone is getting back in the swing of things after a relaxing summer. This month was full of all kinds of events and fundraisers, so I thought I’d share some photos from a few of those events with you.
The first event is Charity in Chocolate for the Heart of America Foundation. This event involves chefs from all over the DC area dressing models in chocolate masterpieces for a chocolate fashion show and also showcases chocolate recipes made by restaurants in the area. The proceeds from this event go toward providing books to children in need.
Interested in the process behind creating chocolate fashion? I also photographed one of the chefs making her chocolate dress for a feature on Fashion & Philosophers. You can check it out here
Later in September I had the privilege of photographing National Community Church’s event Her Voice. It was such a delight to spend time with these women and the speakers really challenged and encouraged me. Isn’t the set wonderful?
The last event I photographed this September was Freshen Up Your Fall Look. It was a fun evening filled with fashion tips, shopping, manicures, and cocktails. The proceeds from this event benefit Dress for Success, who provides disadvantaged women with professional attire, support, and career development tools. Who doesn’t love cocktails for a cause?
So awesome! Man, I miss DC so much!
Thank you Amanda. DC misses you too.
